The ENERGY STAR Change a Light campaign is a national effort to focus public awareness on the economic and environmental difference that the small step of installing a compact fluorescent light bulb can make, when multiplied by hundreds of thousands of consumers.

Consumers with questions about the new lighting standards can find answers on a new website launched by the DOE. www.energysavers.gov/lighting

The site also provides information about shopping for incandescent, CFL and LED bulbs using lumens as a guide as opposed to watts.
