La Plata Electric Association, Inc. (LPEA) is proud to offer Marathon electric water heaters to our member-owners.
Marathon water heaters "stand the test of time." In fact, a Marathon water heater is warranted not to leak for as long as you own your home.
Marathon offers this promise because of its superior, non-metallic PermaGuard tank construction ... a seamless, blow-molded polybutene inner tank with a filament-wound fiberglass outer tank for maximum strength.
The Marathon water heater will provide superior performance, high-efficiency and low operating cost ... for a lifetime!
Thick Envirofoam® is free of ozone-depleting CFCs and HCFCs so it saves the planet and it saves energy.
A pipe wrap kit is included to reduce heat loss from plumbing lines.
Marathon water heaters are available in 15, 20, 30, 40 and 50 gallon models — sized to fit many applications!

Marathon Water Heater Pricing
On April 16, 2015, new National Appliance Energy Conservation Act (NAECA) efficiency standards, which impact water heaters, were mandated. Water heater manufacturers are now unable to build any water heaters with a capacity greater than 50 gallons. As a result, La Plata Electric will only inventory and have available for sale, 30, 40 and 50-gallon Marathon water heaters from this date forward.
Marathon pricing will be increasing with new stock.

Marathon Water Heaters
The last water heater you’ll ever own. Marathon water heaters are warrantied for life and built to last for as long as you own your home. While a traditional steel tank will erode and potentially rust over time, Marathon water heaters are manufactured with polybutene which is impervious to rust and corrosion, and is one of the many reasons why this water heater may be the last one you’ll ever need to buy. Visit www.MarathonHeaters.com for additional water heater information.
